Jurnal Penelitian, published by Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya, is committed to maintaining transparency in its publication charges and ensuring that authors are clearly informed about applicable fees.
The journal does not charge authors for submitting manuscripts. An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to accepted manuscripts in accordance with the publication fee schedule established by the journal.
Publication fees are administered separately from the scholarly assessment process. Editorial screening, peer review, and publication decisions are conducted according to the journal's academic and ethical standards.
1. Submission Fee
Jurnal Penelitian does not charge a manuscript submission fee.
Authors may submit manuscripts through the journal's official online submission system without paying a registration or submission charge.
Manuscripts are initially evaluated according to the journal's scope, submission requirements, originality standards, and editorial screening procedures.
The absence of a submission fee does not affect the editorial requirements or standards applied during manuscript evaluation.

2. Article Processing Charge (APC)
Starting December 2026, Jurnal Penelitian applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 250,000 per accepted article.

2.1. APC Coverage
The APC contributes to the journal's publication management and production activities, including:
- Editorial process management.
- Peer review administration and management.
- Copyediting and manuscript preparation for publication.
- Layout and typesetting of accepted articles.
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration.
- Online publication and dissemination.
- Long-term archiving of published scholarly content.
These activities support the preparation, publication, identification, dissemination, and archiving of accepted scholarly articles.
3. Payment Procedure
Authors are required to pay the applicable Article Processing Charge only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.
The journal does not require APC payment at the initial submission stage or as a condition for entering the peer-review process.
Payment instructions will be provided by the editorial office together with the official manuscript acceptance notification.
Authors should follow the payment information communicated through the journal's official editorial channels.

4. Editorial Independence
Jurnal Penelitian maintains the independence of its editorial assessment, peer-review procedures, and publication decisions.
The payment of an Article Processing Charge does not influence editorial screening, reviewer recommendations, or manuscript acceptance decisions.
Manuscripts are evaluated on the basis of their scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance to the journal's scope, and compliance with publication ethics.
Acceptance or rejection decisions are made independently of financial considerations. The Editor-in-Chief retains final responsibility for manuscript acceptance and rejection decisions in accordance with the journal's editorial policy.
