1. Copyright Ownership

The copyright of articles published in Jurnal Penelitian remains with the author(s).

Authors retain ownership of their original scholarly works and are not required to transfer copyright ownership to the journal or its publisher as a condition of publication under the current publishing policy.

Copyright ownership remains subject to applicable laws, agreements, and the rights of any relevant third parties.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts contain original material and that all necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted material belonging to others.

2. First Publication Rights

By agreeing to publication under the journal's approved publishing terms, authors grant Jurnal Penelitian the right of first publication of their accepted scholarly work.

Authors also grant the journal the non-exclusive rights necessary to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, disseminate, archive, and preserve the published version of the article.

These publication rights enable the journal to make accepted articles publicly accessible and to maintain the scholarly record.

The grant of first publication rights does not prevent authors from exercising the rights retained under the applicable publication agreement and Creative Commons license.

Authors are encouraged to acknowledge Jurnal Penelitian as the original place of publication when redistributing or reusing their published work.

3. Creative Commons License

Articles published in the December 2026 issue and subsequent issues of Jurnal Penelitian are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

This open-access license allows users to share, reproduce, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the licensed material, including for commercial purposes, provided that the applicable license conditions are satisfied.

3.1. Attribution (BY)

Users must give appropriate credit to the original author(s), provide a link to the applicable license, and indicate whether changes have been made.

Attribution must be presented in a reasonable manner and must not suggest that the author(s) or publisher endorse the user or the particular use.

3.2. ShareAlike (SA)

When users remix, transform, or build upon licensed material and distribute the resulting adaptation, they must distribute that adaptation under the same license or an officially compatible license, as permitted by CC BY-SA 4.0.

3.3. No Additional Restrictions

Users may not impose additional legal terms or effective technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights granted under the applicable Creative Commons license.

3.4. Commercial Reuse

Commercial use of material licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 is permitted without separate permission, provided that the license conditions are satisfied.

Uses not authorized by the applicable license or by law may require additional permission from the relevant rights holder.

4. Author Rights and Self-Archiving

Authors retain the right to reuse, distribute, and develop their scholarly work in accordance with its applicable copyright and licensing terms.

For articles published under CC BY-SA 4.0, authors may deposit and share the final published version of their articles through institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, personal academic websites, and other legitimate scholarly platforms.

The journal does not impose an additional self-archiving embargo on final published articles distributed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Authors are encouraged to provide appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication in Jurnal Penelitian when depositing or redistributing their published articles.

4.1. Recommended Attribution

When sharing the published Version of Record, authors are encouraged to include:

• The article title and complete author information.
• The name of the journal: Jurnal Penelitian.
• The publication year, volume, issue, and page or article number, where applicable.
• The DOI or link to the official article landing page, where available.
• The applicable Creative Commons license and a link to its terms.

4.2. Subsequent Scholarly Use

Authors may reuse their published material in teaching, research, academic presentations, scholarly repositories, and subsequent academic publications, subject to applicable copyright, licensing, and attribution requirements.

Reuse of previously published material must also comply with the journal's requirements concerning originality, duplicate publication, and research integrity.

5. Historical Publications and Third-Party Materials

5.1. Historical Publications

The revised CC BY-SA 4.0 licensing policy applies to new articles published in the December 2026 issue and subsequent issues of Jurnal Penelitian.

Articles published before the implementation of the revised license retain the copyright and licensing terms applicable to their original publication.

Accordingly, historical articles published under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) remain subject to that license.

Other historical articles remain subject to their respective publication-specific copyright and licensing arrangements.

The adoption of CC BY-SA 4.0 does not automatically replace, modify, or revoke licensing arrangements associated with previously published articles.

Any proposed changes to historical licensing records must be supported by appropriate documentation and authorization from the relevant rights holders where required.

5.2. Third-Party Materials

Articles may contain photographs, illustrations, figures, tables, datasets, or other materials for which copyright belongs to third parties.

Such materials are covered by the article's Creative Commons license only when the relevant rights and permissions allow their inclusion under that license.

Materials identified as being subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions must be used according to the terms established by their respective rights holders.

Where necessary, users must obtain additional authorization before reproducing, adapting, or redistributing third-party materials.

5.3. Publication Records

Copyright notices and licensing information associated with published articles should accurately reflect the terms applicable at the time of publication.

When identifying applicable permissions, readers should consult the article's publication record, copyright notice, license statement, and any relevant third-party rights information.

This Copyright Notice should be read together with the journal's Open Access Policy, Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics, and other applicable publishing requirements.
