Jurnal Penelitian is committed to the long-term preservation, integrity, discoverability, and accessibility of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes digital archiving as an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing and the continuity of the scientific record.

To support these objectives, the journal employs digital archiving and repository management practices, persistent identifiers, metadata interoperability, and cooperation with libraries and scholarly information services.

The following sections describe the journal's established approaches to digital archiving and the continued availability of its publications.

1. LOCKSS/CLOCKSS

Jurnal Penelitian participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) initiatives as part of its approach to long-term digital preservation.

These initiatives employ distributed preservation mechanisms that maintain copies of scholarly publications across geographically separated participating institutions and infrastructure. This approach is designed to reduce the risk of permanent content loss resulting from localized technical failures, institutional disruptions, or other adverse events.

Through distributed archiving, the journal supports the long-term preservation of published research and seeks to maintain access to scholarly materials beyond the operational lifetime of any single server or publishing platform.

Distributed preservation complements, rather than replaces, the journal's institutional repository management and routine backup procedures.

2. Digital Repository

All published articles are stored in the journal's digital repository and made accessible through its official online publishing platform.

The repository is regularly backed up and maintained by the journal's editorial management to support the security, integrity, and continued availability of published content.

Bibliographic information is maintained using standardized publication metadata to facilitate the identification, discovery, retrieval, and management of scholarly articles.

Repository storage and operational backups contribute to the journal's ability to maintain its publishing services and recover information following technical disruptions. These practices complement long-term digital preservation arrangements.

Published articles and journal issues are accessible through the Jurnal Penelitian Archives .

3. DOI Registration

Every published article in Jurnal Penelitian is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to support persistent identification, reliable citation, and long-term discoverability.

Article DOIs are registered through Crossref , and relevant publication metadata is shared with scholarly information and indexing services.

DOI registration provides a persistent identifier that can continue to reference a scholarly work even when the location of its online publication changes, provided that the associated DOI metadata and destination URL are maintained appropriately.

DOI registration is an important component of scholarly record management. It supports identification and traceability but does not, by itself, replace the storage or digital preservation of full-text articles.

4. Metadata Harvesting

Jurnal Penelitian supports the exchange and dissemination of bibliographic metadata through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH).

Through OAI-PMH, publication metadata is made available for harvesting by compatible scholarly indexing services, academic databases, and library information systems.

This mechanism facilitates the discovery, retrieval, and integration of the journal's publication records within broader scholarly information networks.

Metadata harvesting contributes to the visibility and traceability of scholarly content, while the preservation of complete article files is supported through the journal's digital storage and archiving arrangements.

Further information about the metadata harvesting protocol is available from the Open Archives Initiative .

5. Cooperation with Libraries

Jurnal Penelitian collaborates with national and international library networks to support the preservation, accessibility, and dissemination of its scholarly publications.

Such cooperation contributes to the wider availability of journal content and supports recognized practices in digital archiving and scholarly information management.

Collaboration with libraries and scholarly information networks complements the journal's digital repository, distributed archiving, DOI registration, and metadata harvesting activities.

Through these combined mechanisms, the journal seeks to strengthen the continuity, discoverability, and long-term preservation of its published research.
