Approach: Journal of Aviation Technology (ISSN: 2548-8090; E-ISSN: 2548-8104) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by Aviation Polytechnic of Surabaya. The journal serves as an academic forum for researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate original research, applied studies, and innovative ideas related to aviation technology and its implementation in operational, educational, and management contexts.
The journal focuses on applied aviation technology and interdisciplinary studies covering, but not limited to, aviation communication, navigation, and surveillance systems; automation and digital transformation in aviation operations; aviation safety and human factors; Safety Management Systems (SMS); airport and air transportation management supported by technology; smart airport and sustainable airport concepts; as well as technology-enhanced aviation education and training, including simulation-based learning, digital learning systems, and emerging educational technologies. Approach encourages contributions that demonstrate practical relevance, innovation, and measurable impact on aviation safety, efficiency, and human performance.
Approach: Journal of Aviation Technology is published biannually, with issues released in March and October. All articles published in the journal are available under an open-access policy, allowing readers to freely access, read, download, and share the published content without subscription or payment barriers, in order to support the wide dissemination of scientific knowledge in the aviation field.
Copyright of the articles remains with the authors, while the journal is granted the right of first publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for obtaining permission to use any copyrighted material included in their manuscripts. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, objectivity, and integrity in all published articles.
