Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to review the factors that influence the decrease in lubricating oil pressure in ship main engines, namely pump performance, clogged filters and pipe leaks, by conducting a literature study from scientific journals related to decreasing lubricating oil pressure in ship main engines. The results of this article's literature review: 1) pump performance influences the reduction in lubricating oil pressure; 2) a clogged filter affects the decrease in lubricating oil pressure; and 3) pipe leaks affect the decrease in lubricating oil pressure.
