This study aims to determine the influence of Aviation Security (Avsec) performance on flight security at Sultan Babullah Airport
in Ternate. The research background is based on the critical role of Avsec in maintaining a reliable airport security system,
considering the high risk of security threats that can endanger aviation safety. Internal factors such as licensing, human factors, and
the effectiveness of security inspection equipment are the main focus in assessing Avsec performance. This study uses a quantitative
descriptive research method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 42 Avsec officers as a sample out of a total
population of 72, using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, correlation analysis, simple
linear regression, and t-tests with the aid of SPSS software. The results showed that Avsec performance has a significant effect on
aviation security. The coefficient of determination indicates that Avsec performance contributes 72.1% to the level of flight security
at Sultan Babullah Airport. These findings emphasize the importance of improving officer competence, compliance with SOPs, and
the availability of adequate security equipment as part of strategies to enhance flight security.
