Abstract

Rokot Airport is a class III airport located in the Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra. This airport has a runway with a length of 850 meters and a width of 23 meters with the flexible pavement. Rokot Airport still does not have complete air side and land side facilities. One of the shortcomings of Rokot airport landside facilities is that there is no pavement on the access road. According to the Decree of the General of Air Transportation number: SKEP. 347/XII/99 concerning Standards for Design and Build and/or Engineering of Airport Facilities and Equipment, it is stated that the Airport Entrance/access road is used for public purposes from the airport to the passenger terminal. Rokot Airport already has an access road, but the location of the access road is still not perfect because it is too close to the end of the runway and the access road still does not have a pavement layer only in the form of soil. The method used to determine the thickness of the pavement is the Component Analysis Method which is validated by the 1993 AAHSTO Method, which then the results will be compared with the aviation regulations, namely SKEP 347/XII/99. Meanwhile, to determine the geometric road refers to the Geometric Planning Procedures for Inter-City Roads No. 038/TBM/1997 issued by the Public Work Service of the Directorate General of Highways. to describe the longitudinal and transverse sections on the geometric path assisted by the Excel PCL application and illustrated using Autocad. Meanwhile, to determine the RAB, it refers to PM 78 with the standard price of wages and materials for the Mentawai Islands Regency. The results of the calculation of the thickness of the access road pavement as thick as 40 cm with a thickness of 20 cm Subbase Course, 15 cm thick Base Course, and 5 cm thick surface. For the geometric road, there are 4 bends with the type of S-S (Spiral Spiral) bend because this type of bend is by the road terrain.
