Abstract

The laboratory is a place where scientific theories are applied, theories are tested, demonstration tests, research, etc. There are several problems that occur in the laboratory. One of them is that cadets who visit the laboratory can currently be known from a manual list of entries on paper, the use of paper that is easily damaged, data collection is not in real time, it causes visitor data to be difficult to access, there is no data on how many times the lab is used. The author makes a monitoring system that uses an ESP 32 Cam microcontroller camera, with an infrared proximity sensor connected to the internet and connected to a web server- based application that can be used to increase utility in the laboratory. The method used is 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) but does not use the disseminate stage. The results showed that the tool can work well according to its respective functions and can perform monitoring tests by admin/super user users on cadets who will use/borrow the laboratory. So that it can reduce the occurrence of lab abuse, lab damage and loss of components in the laboratory
