Abstract
Recently, the largest aircraft serving international routes at Juanda Airport in Surabaya is the Boeing 747-400. The purpose of this research is to estimate the noise level caused by a single departure of a Boeing 747 aircraft when taking off from Juanda Airport Surabaya to the area around its flight path. The method was used to measure noise levels by using Integrated Noise Modeling (INM) modelling. The results showed that the impact of the Boeing 747 aircraft noise level when passing at several observation locations were considered vulnerable to noise exposure, including the Surabaya and Sidoarjo areas, actually exceeded the 55 decibels (A) standard noise threshold, which ranged from 63.4 decibels (A) to 91.8. decibels (A). Meanwhile, the affected residential areas have noise levels ranging from 68.8 decibels (A) to 102.9 decibels (A). The variation in the impact of the noise level depends on the distance of the observation location from the airport, the source of the sound, and the altitude or height of the aircraft when it crosses the points of the observation location. The closer to the distance of an observation location to the airport and aircraft crossing, the higher the noise level as the results.
