Abstract
Perum LPPNPI Banjarmasin branch maintains and operates several aviation communication equipment, one of which is Automatic Terminal Information Services (ATIS). based on the ATIS equipment technician's logbook at the Banjarmasin branch of Perum LPPNPI, damage often occurs to the ATIS server, namely the BMKG METAR news is not updated. Therefore, a redundancy application system is needed from the Automatic Terminal Information Services (ATIS) equipment at Perum LPPNPI Banjarmasin Branch. In designing this application, researchers used the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with three stages, namely Requirement Planning, System Design, and Implementation. By using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, it can assist researchers in creating software that is faster, more accurate, and minimizes the risks and costs associated with unnecessary changes and revisions. The results of this study are a desktop application-based Meteorological Aerodrome Report (METAR) redundancy application that will be used as a backup medium of Automatic Terminal Information Services (ATIS) equipment at Perum LPPNPI Banjarmasin Branch, where this application has been validated by feasibility trials with relevant experts. the function and workings of the application obtained from the results of the application are working properly and are suitable for use.
