Abstract
To achieve success in aviation safety, it is necessary to increase the safety andsecurity facilities at each airport if something does not meet the standard provisions. The author conducted research on the ARFF watchroom at Batam Hang Nadim International Airport and feel the lack of comfort and function of the room. The purpose of research to find out whether the watchroom is in accordance with PR 30Year 2022 standard and knows the efforts made to meet this conformity. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive qualitative methods with the stages of collecting data in the field such as observation, documentation, interviews and then analyzing the conditions of the watchroom and categorizing its suitability with PR30 Year 2022 until a conclusion is reached. Result the condition of the watchroom in the appropriate category because it gets a value of 61%, but based on PR 30 Year2022 the conditions watchroom not yet 100% appropriate because there are still 5 requirements that have not been met including air ventilation, soundproof room, glass that avoids the effects of direct sun exposure, can operate crash bell, and available direct telephone circuit/line. Efforts to meet suitability watchroom toward PR 30 Year 2022 is to make turbine ventilator on the roof of the room, improving the structure of the room to make it soundproof by changing the type of swing window to fix window then installing rubber pads on the doors and windows and attaching foam panels made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) on the walls and ceiling of the watchroom, replaced the window glass using window film with a maximum density of 40%, installed a button crashbell, provide hand phone as an alternative that can make telephone connections between provider.
